Nathan Gould - where are you in 1841?

Nathan/Nathen Gould/Gold/Goold etc was b. abt 1804 in North Littleton, Worcs.

In 1833 he married Jane Capner (b. Whitacre, Warks abt 1806) at St Peter & St Paul's Church, Aston, Birmingham (Warks).

In 1851 Nathan and Jane are at Court Street, Aston. He's a gas fitter.

So I reckon in 1841 he and Jane are somewhere in Aston, but I can't find them either there - or anywhere else for that matter. Can anyone help me please?

have had a good look on FMP but nothing for either of them ? do you know of any other children besides Nathan?

The 12yo Nathan with them in 1851 wasn't their child, he was Nathan snr's nephew. I don't know if there were any children from the marriage. None come up in my searches, anyway.

Interesting Julie, even if my chappie is Nathan rather than Nathaniel - but then we all know about the accuracy of recorded names, don't we?

I think I can foresee me trawling page-by-page through the Aston census to see if they're there and badly transcribed, or not there at all. But, if they're not there, why aren't they somewhere else instead? [just thinking out loud]

I did find a Jane Gould without Nathan but then I lost it , maybe they aren't together he could be working away ?
