I would say an E because I used to do E's like that when using a fountain pen. But what the surname is, no suggestions.

Being unable to offer an alternative, I'll go for Creasey too.

It's the first letter that's the killer - could be B, H, R or something else! So possible Beaney, Heaney, Reaney.
