in 1901 Census RG13/924/104/38, Mary Ann Diggens is a Step-daughter, her mother pre this marriage would also be Mary Ann Diggens. I seem to be having trouble finding birth and name of father. They are all Brighton area if anyone can help please.

Working backwards, in 1891 Mary A senior is already married to Mr Belchamber but there was an older stepchild present, 13 yr old Eliza, born Brighton.
In 1881 3 yr old Eliza Diggins was in Brighton with parents Frederick Diggins aged 25 and Mary Ann aged 23 RG11 piece 1083 folio 5 page 4Judith passed away in October 2018

Looking further, your Mary Ann was also there aged 1, the household continued on the next page RG11 piece 1083 folio 6 page 5
This must be her birth registration: DIGGENS Mary Ann, Dec 1879, Brighton 2b 231Judith passed away in October 2018
