  • William Dodman b. 1799 (est. )

I am trying to find out who this person is. William Dodman b. est 1799 ? William d. abt. 19 Jul 1855 at 56 yrs. of age. William's wife Mary ? d. 12 Apr 1834, at 52 yrs. of age. So Mary's birth is est 1782. William & Mary both R.I.P. Sherman

Cemetery, Thamesville, Ontario, Canada. Since they are at rest here I would say death's took place here. Thamesville, Ontario, through amalgamation is now part of Chatham - Kent, Ontario.

Any help with this post would be deeply appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for any & all help!!!!!!!!!

    Yours Truly

i guess you could see if william shows in the 1851 canadian census. it might say whether he was born in canda or england. then you look for a marriage. maybe emmigration details if not from canada.

The accuracy of the information really depends on the knowledge of the person commissioning the headstone .. the date of death you would expect to be correct, but ages may well be wrong ( and often are).
