Very odd, although before and after these dates there were regular baptisms the register shows no baptisms between Jan 15th 1888 and April 1st 1888, and both those are on the same page so its not a case of a missing page. On the final page there is a note from the vicar that the entries purporting to be copies of entries made in the baptism register April to December were made to the best of his knowledge and belief so I guess this is a copy register and somewhere there is the original containing the missing entries including your Thomas Jefferson Rider.Last edited by JudithM; 27-10-13, 19:15.Judith passed away in October 2018

I feel sure not only is the parish wrong but also the date. I've looked at some other wrongly indexed baptisms for Isleworth and the ones I've checked all appear to have been born way before 1888.
E.g note Laura Augusta Robottom here.........http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...=rfs&gst=&so=3
Who I think was born circa 1862.......... http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...try&h=13971468Last edited by Guest; 27-10-13, 21:05.

Then if you check Edwin Arthur Woodin http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...=rfs&gst=&so=3
He too was born much earlier than 1888, 1869 infact and he too was living in Shoreditch. http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...iv=1&ml_rpos=1
