  • Parish birth record

Hi all again, this is my first post since July! Ouch!

My question is - i have found a parish birth on familysearch.org and i was wondering FMP or Ancestry have more/different information on their record than the one i have already found or if it's just the same. I have done a free search on FMP and Ancestry and the entry is there on both.

The person is John William Lawson and is listed that his christening was 16 March 1817 with a birth date of 5 March 1817. The church is listed as Saint Mary Magdalene, Woolwich, Kent. Parents listed as Andrew and Esther.

    Thanks.

    Hi Craig,
On Ancestry it gives the address of the parents as Warren Lane and father's occupation as Corporal, in what looks like "Royal Sappers Miners"

Perhaps someone will have a look and pass their opinion.

Yes, agreed. On Ancestry their address is Warren Lane and the dad's profession is "Corporal, Royal Sappers and Miners." :o
