  • Sarah J Hatton/Hatten (nee Norgrove)

    Hi All,

I wondered if anyone could help with the death of my 3x Gt Grand Aunt, she was alive in the 1901 census living as a widow with her son David in Wiltshire, then is missing from the 1911 Census, David is then on his own. I have checked Ancestry, findmypast and the IGI without success, Sarah was born Sarah Jane Norgrove in c1828 in Hankerton Wiltshire, she married Jesse Hatton/Hatten in c1858, I have been given a death record by my recently discovered cousin which says that Sarah died in 1909 in Malmesbury aged 80 which fits in with her birth date (this death record was found via the Wiltshire Family History Society which can be ordered from Chippenham, Wiltshire Council) - order form copied below, so do you think it is possible that the death of Sarah Jane Hatton/Hatten nee Norgrove has been missed from all other sources?).

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

    Thanks so much in advance.....

    Kind regards

    Sarah

Could it be this one, recorded on Ancestry BMD index as Halton, rather than Hatton.
