Found out where my GGrandad and GGrandma are buried so going to the cemetery today. I hope there is a headstone.

I have high hopes as they were living in Romford when he died in 1895 and she was living in Camberwell when she died in 1911 and they are buried in a double plot. Imagine the palaver moving the body in those days from one county to another and over the river as well.

If it's Camberwell Linda, I wonder if it's West Norwood cemetery? My stepfather is buried there.

Hi Stella,

No she was transported from Camberwell to Romford.

Just got back. No headstone, as usual with my lot, I thought there MIGHT have been as it must have cost a bit to transport her all that way.

Never mind got some photos of the plot with the aid of the very helpful staff.
