Now there's a mis-spelling of the name I have not come accross before;). So use for checking variants of ...aberry that I forgot to check the start of the name.
I did try FMP for Ewer Street and they came up a total blank
Ewer Street comes up on an address search on FMP for 1881 without a problem, the family is transcribed as LACKERBURY, same as Ancestry.

In an 1881 Census Address search, I just entered "Ewer St" in the street name field, and nothing else.
In all database searching it is a good idea to start with as few search parameters as possible, and then add more if necessary to narrow the search down if required.
