  • Missing in 1911

    Hello,
Please could anyone find these two missing ladies in 1911. I have looked but cannot see them.

Mary Eugenia Stubbs, born 1889 in Saltfleetby St Peters, Lincolnshire and married in 1914 in the same district.

Maria Elizabeth Stubbs, born 18 January 1894 in Saltfleetby St Peters, Lincolnshire and married in 1918 in the same district.

Their parents were James Vickers Stubbs (1864-1946) and Elizabeth Hurt (1858-1936).

Neither girls are at home with the rest of the family.

It is possible they are in service as one of their brothers is living out as an Apprentice, although the family were fairly well off.

    Thanks in advance.

        Thank you Judith!

Quite possible Val - ancestry have her transcribed as Maria Shibbs. Certainly is Maria though.

I did try just using the first name or names but nothing suitable came up

I'd agree with Val - the image looks like Maria Stubbs and Sutton on Sea is only a few miles from Saltfleetby
