i also need some assistance with another wife of octavius pembroke shaw.
he married as his second wife, catherine wilce/wiles (the writing is difficult to read) on 9 jul 1904 at bletchley, buckinghamshire. she was 20, a barmaid, living in bletchley. father george henry wiles/wilce, deceased searjent major. wittnesses: charles something, dorothy archer/asher and kate chancellor.
i can't locate catherine at all besides this marriage. the wittnesses are not connected to octavius, except for kate chancellor, who appears to be a friend of the family.
i have no idea where octavius is in 1911. possibly south america. he is listed as owning 52 guilford st, in holborn st george the martyr electoral district from 1908-1910. i don't recognise the husband wife team leaving there in 1911.
i have no idea if octavius had any children. his aversion to the census makes it hard to tell. i know he died in 1915, at sea. he worked on a merchant ship after signing up in antofogasta.
if anyone can help with catherine, it would be wonderful. i'm really aat my ropes end with this!
