  • Numbers on Death Certificate

I've just received a couple of death certificates and on checking the information on them found that there are numbers written at the bottom of some of the columns of one of them. It maybe nothing, but I've never seen this before.
In the name column is written his name and then 43/02 the sex column is male and 40C nothing in the age column but in the occupation column is written Painter late of Abersychan 240. No other columns have anything else that should not be there, the end column is struck through so there are no amendments that have been noted, any ideas?

      Thanks OC
I wondered if it was just something like that. Wonder what it was though ?

Possibly it fell around the date of a change to boundaries within the registration district?

I do know they compile data on causes of death and so on, so I expect it's something to do with that.
