Sorry, been looking and can't find anything that looks likely.

As Timothy and Catherine were married 12 years in 1911, I would have expected to find them in 1901, but no luck, nor can I find a likely marriage for either Timothy or Benjamin Lane.

This looks like it might be the death of the Timothy Lane in the 1911 census

Could this be the birth of John Patrick?

Here's a Catherine Perry death search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=LMAdeaths&h=8576710&indiv=try&o_vc=Reco rd:OtherRecord&rhSource=1558 which comes up as a hint next to the 1911 census record you have for Timothy.

What are the details of the 1903 birth? I can only see the 1902 one.

sorry i was referring to the 1911 census but realised t says "about" 1903 and stoke newington is the sub district for hackey. so i think your 1902 is right.x

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...dpidz0q257caid Possibly Catherine A in workhouse. There is a tree on Ancestry which has a Catherine A Perry 1865-1935 having children with Thomas Betton 1866-1929. The last child is Edith b 1900. Thomas Betton then marries Emily Ada Rollings in 1901. However, I still can't find a marriage for Catherine A Perry or Betton with Timothy Lane. http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...d&rhSource=891 One of the ?? children of Catherine A with Thomas Betton gives father as Benjamin Charles Betton on marriage cert. What occupation does it give for Benjamin Charles on the marriage certificate?

There's a correction to the record of the Catherine A Perry in the workhouse so it might be worth contacting that person to see what they have/know.

I think you're onto something there Vera ref the Benjamin Charles Betton - some confusion with father's surname I would think.

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...&rhSource=8912 The only other thing I found was two of the possible children of Catherine A and Thomas Betton - Elizabeth A and Minnie E were also in the St Pancras Workhouse in 1901. Not sure what happened to the son Hubert b 1898. I note that Benjamin Charles and Thomas were Bicycle Makers. Vera
