  • Can anyone read all of this ?

I can make out most of the words but some I am having trouble with some of them.William Cox.jpg
Also does anyone know the amount of money that is ?

    Here is what I think

The trustees of the police fund in account current with D'eArry? Wentworth, Esq.
Treasurer, for the quarter ending on the 30th Day of June 1815

    D. 1815
To Paid William Cox Esq, sunday did ? made by him in constructing a Road
over the Blue Mountains to the new discovered country.

Top paragraph - I think is D'Arcy Wentworth.

Bottom paragraph ...sunday disbursements made by him...

The amount of money is £300, 0 shillings, 0 pence. Australia used Pounds until 1966.

The amount of money is 300 pounds sterling.
The currency in the UK pre 1971 was pounds, shillings and pence. 12 pence = one shilling. 20 shillings = one pound
It was abbreviated as £ s. d. - which is what you can see written above the number 300.

Would 300 pound be a lot of money in those days?

This link might give you some idea ..
Try our online currency converter and find out how many animals, stones of wool and quarters of wheat you can buy, and how much you could earn.

Just had a thought, not sunday disbursements, but sundry disbursements makes more sense.
