Had a look- could be 'sorter' or 'porter' of dresses If he is a sorter maybe he was in the rag trade, if he was a porter then maybe he moved the dresses from manufacturer to shops?????
Sorry dont know what the capital A means at the end of his occupation .
extra thought- dresses could also be 'dresser ' as they have in the theatre. so maybe porter and dresser?
he is living next to a haberdasher and an embroiderer so maybe he delivered their waresAngelina
