Hi, do we have any Australian members on here?

I have Sarah Cornforth Phillips born in Stockton-On-Tees, 1882. She married Edmund Rowley Newsholme in Stockton, 1905.
Her 1911 census has her living in Nelson, Lancashire with 2 children: Phyllis born in 1909 and Ben born in 1911.
2nd August 1912 the family depart from London to Queensland aboard the Roscommon ship.

A search shows that Sarah is in the Electoral Rolls up until 1968. I've found the deaths of her husband and those 2 children as well as the others that she had whilst in Australia but I cannot find a death for her. I've also looked in England but there's nothing there. I have used the Australian version of Ancestry with no luck, in fact I can't see many Newsholme's on there.

    Hope you can help me.

Are the Electoral Rolls records and Death records you have for Queenslands or for elsewhere in Oz?

Thanks Judith, I've been searching Google for Australian Ancestry thinking it would help but it was just Ancestry itself that was coming up, normally I have better luck than this.

                Thanks Elaine
I only have one more death to find of Robert Phillips children and then that's sorted and I can concentrate on trying to find more on John in 1790.

Haved you tried http://trove.nla.gov.au. There are quite few newspaper articles for Edmund and Sarah Newsholme in Townsville including the death of an infant child and an obituary for Edmund.

Really? I'll have to look as the Australian Ancestry is saying that they had a child named Thomas in 1915 who died the same year and Queenie a year later.

I haven't checked it out properly ye as it's just very new, but you can now buy the certs online for Qld and download immediately.

It will be on the Qld BDM site. I'll have a good look later, so don't get caught paying a fortune elsewhere.

Just getting everyone off to work.

Just did a quick search and yes....you can download the cert for $20. It will have more info than the English ones as well and should have all her children's names if the informant knew them.

                              You are welcome.
I was unable to double check data on QUEENSLAND BDMs, their site seems to have been having a hissy fit over the past week.
