Today is Queensland Day, and the Queensland Justice Department looks like it launched their on-line ordering system today (definitely wasn't there last night).

The price looks cheaper for an actual certificate from the historical registers $28.00 - for the earlier records you can also order a digital image $20.00.

that's handy. they must be following in victoria's foot steps, digital images being cheaper than ones they post. the original price is high like NSW though. vic BMD is currently in discussion for updating their service, so whatever they end up, maybe other states will look into.
