  • Passenger list and what type of card is this?

    Can anybody help me this addres for Charles Field on this passenger list please,

    [ATTACH=CONFIG]16776[/ATTACH...moved it the next post

    My aunty died recently and the only box of photos's that were left are all unknown to me, there are some brilliant notes on the back of photo's and Charles Richard Field is a bit out on birth year at times but everything started when I traced back from his funeral card. Haven't discovered a link yet but it could be related by my aunty's marriage to an Orme. In the box are some photo's with the Spink surname and this passenger list is for Fanny Hampton nee Spink. I just have to find a marriage, can't read this properly and by 1920, they are in Indiana.

    This card is in an envelope addressed to the Orme family

    Was hoping someone could explain what this card is with the Spink name on!

      I'm struggling Elaine, here's what I think I've made out

      Charles Field

      Bot 8? the next word I haven't a clue, then ..........Fayette Co (county) don't know what the next word is,

      Uncle

      Uncle Hr Hard or Hand

      Sorry, that's the best I can do. A Google search informs me a few States have a Fayette County, you mention Indiana and there's a Fayette Co there.

                Thanks for the address, it is uncle underneath, as she has a son from her first marriage.

                They marry, as brother on the passenger list is by marriage and then it was 2 different families coming together, so just need to find that and work out the card, it's all coming together nicely except I don't know them if you see what I mean:p

                  Looked at the passenger lists and have found him going to West Virginia...friend Joe Peach. Names father Mark and Fanny is with the family on a census return...mother in law's second marriage to Field

                  AND I've worked out the family connection, thank goodness for aunt's that live with family!

                  William Henry Orme married Susannah Spink, it is her sister Fanny I have been tracing. Aunt Ann Holt lives with both girls at one point and all the marriages and census returns now come together, the biggie being Holt and Orme together 1911;D
