  • Parish Register Searches - dustydocs.com

Just wondering if anyone else uses Dustydocs.com for searching UK parish records? It is a "web-linking" site to free online parish register websites for the British Isles. I have mainly searched English towns so can't say what it is like for Scotland, Wales etc but for the parishes I need (Lancashire, Suffolk, Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire) it helps pinpoint the particular parish & any free online transcripts or records available from the usual sources - familysearch, freereg, OPC sites etc, & others such as monumental inscriptions, google books, individual church websites etc. I find it easier to search familysearch in particular by using dustydocs to narrow down to the specific parish I want.
I have found it very user-friendly & it saves a bit of googling. I'm not sure how frequently the site is updated & of course by no means all records are online (or free!) but it is well worth a look if you are searching a particular parish.

Yes, that does look like a good site. I've bookmarked it--now we'll see if I can remember it next time I'm looking for something.

Thank you for reminding me about this site.

I found it some time ago, but didn't have it bookmarked on Firefox

            I do now!
