Oliphant/Barber marriage help please

John Oliphant was born in 1836 to parents Robert Oliphant and Mary Barber. He was born in Dunning, Perthshire.

Can anyone see a marriage between Robert and Mary?

it is to an extent. but once you hit parish records, it depends on your area. i find the highlands are mostly non existant before 1829, and there are no deaths reported at all before 1855. but the lowlands seems to have older registers from the 18th century.
