  • Fremantle family of Southwark

    Hello all

There is a marriage between George Hornby and Emily Fremantle which I cannot see the details of as I'm without Ancestry. I think the marriage took place c1798 as she was witness to her sisters marriage in 1800 at St Saviours in Southwark and she was already married.

What i'm really after is the details of the marriage and whether anybody can locate the births of Ann Fremantle and Emily Fremantle. I think they were both born c1780/81 i imagine.

    Any help would be fantastic.

      Thank you Elaine

I'm finding it very difficult to locate births etc.

I'd have thought Fremantle would be fairly easy.

Problem is, you don't know where they are from - not all London parishes are covered in the LMA records - and not all LMA records are on Ancestry!

There are a few Freemantles showing in the LMA collection, but I cannot see anything for Emily.
There is a baptism for Ann Freemantle in Aug 1774, father Henry - St John of Wapping, Middx - but nothing to tie it in with a sister Emily.

Thank you for taking the time to look. I'll keep on trying and hopefully something will turn up.
