I need to delete my browsing history. I have done this many times but each time it also deletes all my saved passwords for various sites which is a pain. How can I avoid this please. I use IE9.

Go into Tools (the cog in the upper right corner), then Internet Options.
On the first tab (called General) you'll see a section called Browsing History.
In this section is a Delete... button. When you click on it, you'll get a window appear asking what you want to delete. Just untick anything you want to keep, before pressing the Delete button at the bottom.Dave - Hungry Monkey

The reason that you lose your passwords is that you are deleting the cookies.
These small files are where the passwords and site preferences are stored.
Delete these and you have to reset them all again when you next visit the site.
