In April 1925 Mrs Lois G Abel & her daugher Dorothy Lois sailed from Southampton to NY on the Leviathan - I have the full details
Ancestry also shows 2 other sailings for Lois Gertrude Abel, who I believe to have been the same lady probably sailing with her husband Howard & son Howard jnr. Could anyone please supply details of the destinations, dates and travelling companions and, hopefully, occupation of her husband?
(A bit of background info incase it helps - Howard Abel was born in Yorkshire Q4 1868. I can't find him in 1891 census. He married Lois Gladys Morrell in Illinois in 1895. They had a 5 month old son Howard B Abel when they were recorded in Chicago in 1900 US federal census. All 3 family members were in Kent England for 1901 census, but Lois at least was back in Illinois in 1902, when Dorothy was born. By the time of 1905 state census, Howard & the 2 children were in Manhattan - I can only access the index for 1905 using FamilySearch and Lois hasn't come up, but her forename is ripe for mistranscription!
So, I haven't yet been able to access a record of Howard, Lois & Howard jun sailing to England and back to the USA 1900 - 1902.)
Many thanks for reading.
