  • Mundia help please

I have built a tree on Ancestry for one of my neighbours and it started as Private but I changed it in mid November to Public as they wanted their Son in Finland to see it .
I thought I could tell him to log in to Mundia , but I have looked on Mundia and I can not see the tree .

So if you have access to Mundia could you please look and see if you can see this tree .
I will give you 3 random persons .

    Raymond ( Edward ) Hall b. 1908 Southampton d. 1998 Southampton

    Alfred Fanstone b. 1880 Southampton d. 1948 Southampton

    Albert ( Edward ) Munday b. 1876 New Forest d. 1962 Southampton

There are 237 Peopke in the tree and the owner is leswhite126

    Hello Ken,

I have looked but, like you I cannot see it. There is one that meets the criteria but that has a different persons 'Username' on it. It may be that when you make the tree public it might take a while to get in the system, [esp as it being so near to Christmas when you did it]

it says on mundia that if you have a public tree on ancestry then when you login to Mundia it should be visable, have you double checked the settings on Ancestry? if it is set to public then I would have a look at the help section on ancestry and see if there is a delay from changing Private to Public.

      aha! from Ancestry..

Note: although your tree will instantly become public or private, it usually takes about a month or more to be reflected in the search index.

With the examples you have given Ken, I cannot even see the public tree on Ancestry!

          Thanks for looking.

I changed from Private to Public in mid November and was aware of the months wait but I expected to be able to see it by now .
I have checked and the tree is definitely Public .

might be worthwhile contacting Ancestry then? maybe a glitch in the system?

I will have to ask the neighbours if they want the info .

                    Ken -
Even if they don't have an active sub, you can invite them to that tree, and they can see the tree. I think if the editor's sub is active, they'll be able to see the records that have been referenced.

If, of course, they have email...
