Infront of me I have some poor quality print outs of images for a WW1 soldier. I want to look again at the online records, but I can't find them
Michael McDonough
born Blyth Northumberland 1890
attested Wallsend on Tyne 1914
served with Northumberland fusiliers - Private; 10891
later with the Lancasters Sgt; 40201
died in hospital January 1919
I'm pretty sure I found them on Ancestry - there's an attestation form, a record of service. a declaration of next of kin, a letter re the plaque & scroll, acknowledgement of the aforesaid and also a will form.
I do recall that finding them first time round was woderful, but not easy - it could be that I found them amongst the records for another soldier?????
I don't want anyone to waste a lot of time on this, but if you CAN spot the relevant records in the index, I'd be very grateful.
(If I didn't have the sheets infront of me, I'd think I'd imagined it. A few saved images got lost when my previous PC died - these must have been amongst them.)
Thanks for reading
SORTED - see below
Found an old thread I'd posted about this. The images were in the service records indexed as Michael Farrar. I've found them now and will doenload them to the PC
