  • what happened to Walter & Elizabeth MACKAY

    Hi All

Back again for your expert help.
Elizabeth Fenemore(b.c.1874) marries Walter Mackay(b.c.1874) 15 July 1895 in Balsall Heath, Birmingham.
    In 1901 they are at 8 Colemere St,Wrexham Regis,Wrexham,DEN ref RG13/5225/070/028
I can't find them in the 1911 census but on 16 Sep 1911 they are both witness at the marriage of her step brother Thomas Fenemore and Winifred Blanche Revill at Kings Norton, Birmingham register office.
Can't find any suitable deaths or re-marriages.

      It`s only a suggestion
      1881 census
9 court number 21 Lower Essex Street
      Birmingham
      Warwickshire

John Fenemore aged 27 born Marboro,Yorks
Mary Fenemore aged 26 born Birmingham
Elizabeth Fenemore aged 6 born Birmingham ( states born 1875 )

have a look in 1911 census for John and Mary and see if Elizabeth was possibly visiting ??

In 1911 Census a Walter John McCoy is a boarder at 84 St Mary St, Balsall Heath ref; RG/17892/285.....could be a possibility??
The 1901 Census shows him as Walter J. Mackay...............probably transcription error. Not sure where wife is maybe at mothers for cup of tea

I did see that and wondered but I think the occupation is quite different and of course where is Elizabeth.

don't think its the McCoy chappy as he appears with Birmingham electoral rolls under that name and my Mackay signs as a witness at the marriage later in 1911.
