A couple of newspaper articles on the first page of results may be worth following up. I haven't looked at the rest, or tried variations on the search.

thanks keldon for reply. i do have info from newspaper,am looking for information on how this individual got started in the first place, understanding he came from lopen in somerset and his father was an agricultural labourer. does this give a better picture on things ?

If he got into tailoring, then you probably need to be looking for apprenticeship records. The name of the person who paid for his indentures could also give you another line of resarch to see why - unless it was something to do with the Parish wanting to get him off their books... but that would also give you something to go on.
