    Welsh placename translation please

Can anyone help me to decipher the birth place on the 1901 census for John White.Age 40,born about 1861,spouse Eliza White and living in High Wycombe,Bucks ?

Where born it says `Havenwhery`Denbighshire but I presume this is a mistranscription but I can`t make out what it says.
    Can anyone help please ?

Having looked at the list supplied by Val, could it be Hawarden in Flintshire? (Flintshire & Denbeighshire are next to each other and county bounaries may have changed???)

The Welsh language has different sounds for the symbols w & f and I suspect it may have been a question of having tried to record the place name phonetically.

It does look like Havenwhen - the tail of the "y" that has been transcribed is a tally mark.

It is odd though that he appears not to have known his birth place in 1881 or 1891 and then just come up with this place name in 1901.

And in 1871 when he's living with his parents his birth place is transcribed on Ancestry as Cawryes, Flint, but it might really be Caewyes, Flint.

For 1861, I used his elder brother George for the search, with a father called John and up they popped on the Welsh census living in Caerwys!
