Thread: Looking for Isabella Hopper in 1871.

Looking for Isabella Hopper in 1871.

Isabella Hopper was my GG grandmother. She was born according to the 1851 census in Halifax, Yorkshire in 1808 & according to the 1861 census in Scarboro’ Yorkshire in 1806. Her husband was Thomas Hopper who died in 1863.
Isabella Hopper re-married in 1876 which luckily gave her maiden name of Fisher, father John Fisher a soldier, deceased.
I believe her 1st marriage to Thomas Hopper took place in Cambridge (reg district) in 1837.
I just can’t find her in 1871. I would expect her to have been in the Limehouse/Stepney area. Her address in 1876 was 52 Rhodeswell Rd Limehouse, Middx. & she died in 1880.
Just trying to confirm her birthplace.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi Julie
Thanks for looking. I thought I had put his name in. It was Joshua Maberly. I never thought to look for him in 1871.

    Hi Julie
Yes I did find his death in 1889. I wonder if he married any more widows after Sarah?
Possibly needed someone to darn his socks!
