Great Julie, thank you. Do you think Keith could read Sleath because I'm sure there was a Goldsmith or Silversmith called Gabriel Sleath ( & I think he was quite famous) & a Francis Crump was his apprentice or partner. This was mid 18th century and possibly an Ancestor of Francis ?

AHA!! now that marriage he is transcribed as Keith BUT.. I have found this:

    http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/131...rson/833510225

it seems VERY comprehensive, and if it isnt your tree then you should get in touch with whoever owns it..

hmm something is not quite right though, as they do have George but married to someone else, Emily someone or other.. still think it might be worthwhile contacting them though to see if they might have any additional info on your 'George' or come across any discrepancies in their research regarding this.. seem very coincidental that they seem intertwined yet not, if you see what i'm saying.. (maybe George was bigamously involved with Sarah? might be that's why you can't find a marriage?)

    Thanks Julie

I have been in touch with the owner of this tree but there are so many differences. For instance George Crump died in 1893 in Dover Kent, mine died in 1894 in Poplar. On this tree he has a brother Thomas Ross Crump showing Thomas Ross Crump as his father on his mc. There maybe a connection somewhere but it doesn't seem right to me at the moment.

Maybe I will order the bc for Frank George born 1867. What would you do next if you were me?

    Thanks

tbh, I am not sure. (which way next).

we already know that Franks father was George a plumber, and that his mother 'should be' Susan Perry. (though I suppose if we are going to get exact, then you should get the b/c) as this will confirm the parentage.

am in the middle of cooking now, but on the daughters b/cert does it state that sarahs name was formerly Perry? and what yr was this please?

I was thinking about getting his bc as Mary Ann Crump maybe some relation ( with him in 1871).

The certificate I have is for Annie Crump. Born March 1871 Holborn. Father,George & Mother, Susan Crump ( Perry).

I will need to sign off now but will back again tomorrow.

I do appreciate your help & time Julie.

    Pauline
