    Hi,

I have used Kith and Kin Pro http://kithkinpro.spansoft.org for years. I like the way you can see and access all of the families in the tree from just one screen.

I have used something called family tree genius - it's a little basic but the family trees end up looking very polished and professional - in fact, I haven't used a better-looking piece of family tree software.

You can see the software at http://www.family-historian.co.uk if you click on the Tour link at the top you can see some screenshots and download the free trial.

I use both FTM 2006 and Legacy 7.5 The Legacy program does all that FTM can do, big difference is, it is free. Reason is that I load all my stuff on
Legacy then Gedcom to FTM which is on another computer, so I always have a backup if anything goes wrong. Also the data goes to an external
harddrive, lets face it there is 30-40 years of hard work there and I don't wish to lose it in one hiccup.

This is the one they have on AppleMacs and I found it totally confusing after being very used to Family Tree Maker 2006 and now 2010.
