    Gedcom query

    I have had my gedcom sent to me from GR, tried to put it on a Tree programme, but this programme wont accept it. Have discovered the 'gedcom' file ends in ftl, which is a Family Tree Legends file, so not a gedcom. Could this be a file association error in my Registry? How do I overcome this if it is please.
