    Which Film to Order?

I want to order a micro film from the Latter Day Saints that will show births and marriages pre 1790 at Newbury Parish Church (St Nicholas) but they don't seem to have the the Parish Registers on film for those dates so what would be best - the Bishops Transcripts or the Parish Chest Records?

Topic details ('England, Berkshire, Newbury - Church records')

Or not bother and wait 'til I've time to go to Berkshire RO?

If you click on the film notes for the parish chest, it says "Churchwardens accounts, 1792-1848 Vestry minutes, 1818-1940" - so probably not what you want.

The Bishops Transcripts are "Microfilm of original records at Wiltshire County Record Office, Trowbridge" but it doesn't say which chuch?

By the way - the records office has moved from Trowbridge to Chippenham!

Not sure if thats answered your question though!
