I have just trawled the complete death index for 10 yrs for Mary Ann Robinson. If she had died I would have expected the dist to be Melton Mowbray, there is nothing, I cannot check the Dec Q for R, S, T, U, in 1851 as they are missing completely from ancestry.
I havent found her (mary ann) on the 1861 census, Though presume that her daughter Fanny Robinson is in Melton Workhouse (thanks Elaine) aged 14. (just with FR as initals)
I will have a look at possible marriages this evening, but I have a feeling that I have already looked without much success.
can anyone suggest anything that I could try?
I have been to LRO and they dont have any records for workhouse deaths in those particular years that are covered, infact they have very little info regarding BMD's at the workhouse, with exception to the register that goes upto 1847 (where I very nicely found details of my Gt Grannies baptism) (as she was born in the workhouse).
anyone have any ideas?
