Lanarkshire Census ref.

I expect this is a silly question but anyway....

I have got a Census ref from the WDYTYA Lanarkshire disc which may be my 2x Gt Grandfather.

Can anyone tell me if it is likely I can view the microfilm in my local library as I think they have a lot of family history micro-films there.
If not - apart from going to Glasgow where would you suggest?

No but the images are on ScotlandsPeople. I think I have a few credits. What details do you have?

Just checked - I have 23 credits, should be more than enough.

Ancestry do have more information on the Scottish censuses than they used to have ..... I'd not looked on it for a couple of months and was pleasantly surprised.

As they say

'Unfortunately, we are unable to display the accompanying images of this census at present, despite extensive negotiation with the General Register Office for Scotland.
Ancestry has heavily transcribed the Scottish Census Records to ensure you have access to all key areas of information .... '

Would it be ever so cheeky to ask if there are any refs. on it to the surname Dobbie (specifically in Airdrie)? The ad. in Radio Times doesn't say what info. is on the CD apart from the 1851 census.

It shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 credits to locate and download your census image.

I'll have a look on the disc for the DOBBIE surname, OJ. I was having trouble with it on the PC but will try it on the Mac.

The ref for my fellow is

This disc is not very good!
Keeps crashing on the Mac. too
