ActiveX add-ons ?

Could someone please tell me if I should disable an ActiveX add-on that I have found. I have been having problems with Internet Explorer shutting down and wonder if this is the cause.

Stella I have just googled and it seems that some of these can cause problems so try and delete it and see what happens , if I dont see you anymore today I shall know it didnt work LOL

Well Val, instead of deleting it I have updated it and will see if that works. If not, I will delete it.
