    Oh no you're not!

I, too, have a Sarah Gwinnell born around 1837 in the Dursley, Wotton under Edge, Eastington area, but I have no more info other than she's the wife of James Malpass.:D

There is a brilliant Podcast on the NA site

'The annual ancestors lecture: our 17th century ancestors'.
        The National Archives Podcast Series

In it David Hay suggests reasons, with examples, as to why our expected surnames may not be those that we find in parish registers or other records.....And with a surname like Gwinnell I would imagine that could happen alot!

        Hope it helps.
