  • Advice on Marriage

I have William Lippiatt aged 19 on the 1881 census with his parents and wife Alice aged 17.

The only possible marriage record I can find is this:-

    Mar 1881
    BLOOM James Bath 5c 865
    Lippiatt William Bath 5c 865
Parsons Elizabeth Alice Bath 5c 865
    SHEDDICK Annie Bath 5c 865

The area is right as he and all his siblings were registered at Bath.

I searched for James Bloom in 1881 and found him with a wife named Annie.

Does anyone agree that William's wife could be Elizabeth Alice?

    Any advice welcome.

Have you searched for Elizabeth Alice Parsons in previous census? If you find her with the same date of birth I think it could be quite likely and probably worth getting the cert??

According to BathBMD William Lippiatt married Elizabeth Alice Parsons.

This birth would fit with your Alice...

Thanks Deb and Elaine. I can now look for the births of their children.

If the children were registered in Bath then use the BathBMD site as the motherĀ“s maiden name has been transcribed which will help identify them.
