Suggestions for parental controls please.

After a start on 'sex ed' at school neph is googling and coming up with all sorts of things that he shouldn't ( boys will be boys but....!).

How and where are good filtering guides please

I have heard of Net Nanny. We don't filter anything at home as LMP is sensible. However he and his friends found naked Jesus once. I was ever so understanding and had a god talk though he denied it was anything to do with him.

Thats a bit harsh. I said that it was natural to be curious but perhaps he should discuss these things with me. I know that you can set parental conrtols if you are on aol.

very harsh - had she explained ( as is suitable for a 9 year old) he wouldnt have needed to go looking to try and find out.
No TV, no computer , no ganeboy, no radio, no out with his buddies - he's going to drive them bonkers - child set to rebel asap!

there is a family protection feature as part of the windows live suite - we have it installed on dana's laptop - is pretty good, creates logs of sites as well as being able to prompt for parental consent to view sites - had to give permission for google, bcc news etc before dana could view
