I am looking for information on my ancestor Eliza Jane McMahen. She was the first born daughter of William Moore McMahen (1811-1892) and Margaret Keys (1832-1894) and was born in or around Keysborough, Victoria, Australia in or about 1847. Some family trees on other websites record her as having married William James Ambery in 1880 but I believe that the person who married William Ambery is Elizabeth (Eliza) Jane Lowden (sometimes spelt Louden) born in Northern Ireland in 1855. I have a family bible which records the births of the children of John and Mary SPENCER (née JONES) between 1768 and 1780. It then goes on to record the descendants of their youngest child who was the original owner of the bible and my 3 x great grandfather.

I have found proof online that John and Mary were married on 21 April 1760 in the town of Monmouth in Monmouthshire, South Wales.

Through further research I have discovered that John SPENCER was born in 1737 in Shelsley ...

Alfred George Howe was born in (Lampton) Staines district 14th Jan 1913 and died in Swansea Wales in 1988.
He was the son of Charles William Howe and Ruth Ann Shaw. Ruth died in 1918 of Spanish flu and Alf, as the youngest child was sent to live with relatives in Wales.
Through research I believe he married Violet Richards 1915-1991 and think they had 2 children.
My Nan was 10 when her mother, Ruth died and helped her father bring up her younger sibings, Charlie and Alice, ...
