The one thing I would add regarding the original post is that for a father to have details other than his name, such as occupatin added to a birth cert in the UK the father has to attend the registration of the birth, I am not sure if this applied in 1870 but there should be some way to find out.

Well, in the case of my grandfather Hubert Harries his parents were not married when he was born in 1911 and on the first birth certificate for him, he has been given his mothers maiden name

So one of our members made me realize that I haven't actually focused on any school history yet. I've done names, ages, streets & occupations but not the schools so I've looked through Google and I've decided to post my finding's here for any future member's that may be looking for future school's in Stockton-On-Tees. I have been searching for my Birth Family for over 50 years. I found a lot of things but was not able to verify everything, mainly because not many of my Birth family were still living. But I have found out that I have sisters and brothers out there. Well, half sisters and brothers anyway. I now know a little more about my family. I love them all. But I still need more information on the lady who gave me birth. I am sure that she is not still living, but hope that there may be some relatives ...
