Hi Folks

I have been going through the burial register for Fittleton in Wiltshire looking for my lot. So I decided to transcribe it, I have done 1813 - 1955 quite easily but now I have got a Vicar that likes to write notes.

freeBMD doesn't go up to 1956 so if someone could check any other sites that might have these recorded.

I cannot make out the first name for this burial
entry 705 - 3rd Feb 1956 M------- DREWITT aged 69 (I think it is Martha but just not sure)

Or the Surname of this one
entry 706 - 9th Aug 1956 Ernest Frank BUSH--- aged 74

Births for Fittleton were recorded in Devizes

Only another 95 to go :)

Thanks

Thank You Mararget.

Just another 3 pages to go.
There will be a couple of look ups, thanks to the Rev Finch who wrote notes here there and everywhere. But I have just buried him and the next Vicar entries are readable.

Oh Dear! poor vicar but how nice to have your name as a line drawn under everyone else in the register!

It was the same for my 3x great grandfather who was Registrar for BMDs in Cheltenham for over 20 years to 1858 and then his son wrote out his death certificate when he took over.
