Any of us with Australian connections in our trees, but who live in the UK will have to make sure we check just where places are - and just how long the distances are - when we make our requests. It's very easy to be deceived by not spotting the differences of scale!

Parts of my CHRISTMAS family (a side branch) were/are in Rockhampton - which must be 200 miles away from you. The preceding generation settled in the Maryborough area - and that must be 100 or 120 miles away from Brisbane.
