    DESCRIPTION : The Few Family are thought to have originated in Wiltshire, UK. and this tree starts with the first 'Few' born about 1550. At a later stage, the family divides into two distinct sections - those who remained in the UK (mostly in Wiltshire), and those who 'left home' and settled in America. This latter group started with William Few 1599, whose son Richard, a Quaker, purchased 500 acres of land from William Penn in what was to become Pennsylvania. He sailed to the 'new world' in William Penn's ship in 1681/2. From there the Few's spread to many of the American States, with one being a signatory of the American constitution.
