    has anybody used this site as a secure remote back up for their tree, is it any good, easy to use and is it really FREE

    I know Caroline looked at this site a few months ago and did a personal evaluation of it.
    I'll ask her to let you know what she thought about it.

      I did try it out, but gave up with it. It scans your PC for every GEDCOM it finds and as I had so many, it took forever with all the FH examples and others which I had for magazine articles, and then it was a nuisance to tell it not to look for them. They also didn't answer when I contacted them .... it was early on to be fair, so things may have improved since then.

      I now use Dropbox which I am very happy with, as YOU decide what you want to back up. It syncs wiht the online folder immediately I make any changes to any of the files in the Dropbox folder on my laptop or PC.

      Dropbox helps you simplify your workflow. So you can spend more time in your flow.

          I vote for Dropbox
          I have my students use it all the time to back up their work

            I use the free www.tribalpages.com and you can have as many trees on as you like, add photos etc.
