Henry Coury Cleverly is elusive! In 1881 he married Annie Mary Hatch at St Mary's Kingston. In 1891 he and his family are living in Portsea. He is an Accountant and it says he is born in Gosport but I am having trouble tracing him!
I wonder if the two families are connected. I have his father as Richard, but it is a while since I did any research on this family so I can't remember where I got this information from.
Elizabeth Research Interests: England:Purkis, Stilwell, Quintrell, White (Surrey - Guildford), Jeffcoat, Bond, Alexander, Lamb, Newton (Lincolnshire, Stalybridge, London) Scotland:Richardson (Banffshire), Wishart (Kincardineshire), Johnston (Kincardineshire)
Many thanks, I too live in Gosport and will go to the Study Centre and see if I can find anything. I have found Martha's father Thomas Monk by using Family Search.
