Hi I am looking for another bit of help and wasn't sure whether to start a new post or to add it on so here goes.
I have my great great grandmother Clara Ward in the 1911 census with a James Ward listed as husband of 3 years and children Charley (male) age 14, Grace age 9 and Hilda age 6. I have Clara's other children, Isabel Ward (my great grandmother) on the 1911 census in a home for Waifs and Strays at St Judes, Selhurst and her older sister Elizabeth as a servant in another home. That leaves two children unaccounted for - Mabel Ward and Rose Ward. The 1911 census does state 7 children of which 6 are living so that tallies. My dad mentioned that he met a Rose Ward many many years ago so I think that means that Mabel died young.
I know she was alive in 1905 and was aged 10 - no sign in 1911 so perhaps she died between 1905 and 1911 - can anyone help find her? I have had no luck so far
I have tried to look for Rose but again no joy - she is listed as Rose Mary Ward and also Rose Agnes Ward and in 1905 was age 8
One final teaser is that as mentioned Clara's husband Charles died in May 1905 and on 1911 census Clara has a husband mentioned - James Ward and it says they have been married 3 years - can anyone find a marriage of Clara to James? Clara was born Clara Pettitt, then married Charles Ward and then it would seem she marries someone with the same name Ward unless it has been transcribed wrong
The family seem to be in and about the West Ham area
Can anyone help
Thanks
Steven
