                        I think this is the US 1910 census

                        The image on Ancestry gives Tom's occupation as machinist, Auto shop - year of arrival 1905; Ada's year of arrival given as 1907

                          The incoming passenger list in 1905 is on the Ellis Island site for free. He gave a destination address.

                          Can't see the 1907 one, though.
