  • A breakthrough!!! Could it be???

After hunting through a lot of Goulson stuff I keep finding possibles in Nottingham, today I decided to head down a slightly different track and look at some brides of the Goulson chaps.

One has thrown up an interesting possible,
    Mary Cheetham
    Gender: Female
    Baptism 30 May 1774
    Baptism SAINT MARY,NOTTINGHAM,NOTTINGHAM,ENGLAND

Parents are John and Hannah, now neither of those names feature strongly in my Goulson family but they do make the odd appearance here and there.

Now this girl is definately one of mine

    Elizabeth Gulson
    Gender: Female
    Baptism/Christening Date: 31 Aug 1767
    Baptism SAINT MARY,NOTTINGHAM,NOTTINGHAM,ENGLAND

So by the looks of it, I might at least now be able to place the Cheetham family with the Goulson lot at some point in time???

      Hi Lin

Suprisingly though if I do a search for the Goulson surname I rarely get anything beyond a few results in Lincolnshire Even adding the variant spellings I get very little or have to look at variants that seem way off the mark.

When it comes to the Cheetham, Page and Everitt/Everett families I'm not even sure whereabouts they were at any time, I'm still trying to plot any possible baptisms that might show combinations of names in the right place at the right time. Thankfully the Cheetham name is a little less common than the Page family
