New Zealand Society of Genealogists - First Families Search

Is anyone a member of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists?
They have an online resource list of First Families - which suggests it could help me bridge gap between NZ ancestors and their origins in the UK.
Joining the NZSG costs $$$ which is s bit steep on the off chance they may have relevant records.
Does anyone have knowledge of this resource?

Hi - I know there are a few people on here from NZ..
could you post the info you have to the Research and Q topic, and then maybe ask if someone is a member of the NZSG at the same time. There is a fair bit around for NZ records, but you might have looked in to that already. If so, ignore me! :-)

Have you tried the NZ BMD indexes on line - they are free and quite useful. It might be a better (well cheaper anyway) starting point
